Officially, Vodafone represents the phrase "Voice Data Phone", and the history on what appears to be a number six is provided as follows:
SOURCE
"In 1997, Vodafone introduced its Speechmark logo, composed of a quotation mark in a circle, with the O's in the Vodafone logotype representing opening and closing quotation marks and suggesting conversation."
But I ask, could there be a hidden or alternative meaning? Consider the symbolism used by Vodafone and the number of "the beast" from Revelation 13 in the Bible. Typically, the beast is seen as representing a negative character, and the number 666 represents evil.
In Revelation we see that there appear to John at least two beasts, the first comes out of the "sea" or the "waters", which in Biblical terminology is used to represent a multitude of people. The second beast comes out of the earth. While it would first appear that the number of the beast is in reference to the second beast from the earth, this is not a sure thing.

If there were any doubt up to this point whether or not Vodafone associates themselves with 666, that issue should now be dealt with, three times should be enough to establish this is no coincidence and their story of the quotation mark is a lie. What is interesting to note (Thanks to the author at Vigilant Citizen) is the KKK uses the exact same symbol as a drop of blood in a symbol of their own, or is that a quotation mark as well?
The original logo for Vodafone was the one seen below, it changed in 1991 with the above logo they call the "Speechmark". There is one similarity that I can point out between the two, and that is the use of the number 6. Below we see a hexagon with 6 points, naturally, a hexagram fits within the hexagon. The hexagram is often used by occultists, as is the 666. To learn more, see the following link.
"The Hexagram represents the formula and accomplishment of the Great Work in both the material and spiritual worlds. It is composed of the symbols for Fire and Water. It is synonymous with the symbol of the Rose and Cross, the Ankh (Crux Ansata), the Sun and Moon Conjoined, and the Cross in the Circle. It represents the union of the two opposites in Nature, male and female, light and darkness, activity and passivity, and all other opposites that constitute creation...
Each line of the Hexagram or Hexalpha indicates the number 111, since a single line of the Hexagram contains three equal parts, each of which may be represented by the number 1, so that the number 111 can symbolize every line. There are six lines in all, so that 111 x 6 = 666, the Most Holy Number of the Sun. Each angle of the Hexagram is 60 degrees. 60 is the number of the Hebrew letter Samekh, which is the letter of the Holy Guardian Angel. Six angles of 60 degrees each equal 360 degrees, and 360 is the number of the Hebrew letter Shin spelled in full. Shin is the letter of the Spirit of the Sun and it is esoterically composed of three Hebrew Vavs. Vav is the sixth letter of the Hebrew Alphabet, so that three Vavs indicate the number 666."
And now, we return to the beasts of revelation and the words that make up "Vodafone". Voda means water in numerous languages.
Fone is plural for foe, which means enemy. So, fone means multiple enemies.
If we combine the use of two words here, we come to something like, "water enemies" or perhaps "enemies from the water". One of the beasts is said to come out of the water in Revelation 13, and looking at the characters in Rev. 13, it would appear they are in reference to groups of people and not simply singular people, corporate bodies, if I may. A way of looking at the term beast is that it represents mans fallen nature of sin which is often referred to as the flesh, this comes from the earth. The Bible teaches that the works of the flesh are sinful, and sin brings death, which makes sin and the flesh, the enemy of man. The Bible also teaches that the flesh and sin can only be overcome by Christ, and that a friend of the world is an enemy of God. Well, nothing is more worldly than this beast within us, whose spiritual mark we are born with, that 666 is already implanted inside each one of us, figuratively speaking.
So is Vodafone coincidentally associating themselves with the number of the beast of Revelation (666), and the water the beast comes out of in John's vision on the Isle of Patmos? You decide. The people below also seem to have shown a way to show their love for the number 666, where's your 666 pic?
